Therapeutic Shoes POST-OP
for the Treatment after Surgery
After surgery, the foot needs special protection. The wound must not be exposed to any pressure and the shoe must not chafe anywhere. Moreover, the therapeutic shoe should help stabilise and immobilise the foot.
The therapeutic shoes of the FIOR & GENTZ POST-OP series offer different characteristics for the special needs of feet that were operated on. The construction of the shoe, the materials and the sole can be selected to meet the requirements. The POST-OP therapeutic shoes are divided into three groups:
Bandage Shoes
The bandage shoes have an adaptable inner volume. Due to big, handy hook and loop or instep fasteners, the inner volume can be adapted to the individual need for space of the foot at any time. All FIOR & GENTZ bandage shoes have a rigid (stiff) sole with an extra strong rocker bottom. For further information, simply click on the respective therapeutic shoe.

Forefoot Relief Shoes
There are various indications that require the forefoot to be relieved. These include for example hallux valgus (lateral deviation of the big toe), hammer or claw toes, traumatic injuries or even amputations. Some of the forefoot relief shoes have wedge soles, which prevent normal heel to toe movement. Thus, the forefoot is completely relieved.

Heel Relief Shoes
The three therapeutic shoe models for heel relief are supposed to relieve wounds and prevent pain in the heel area, which can be caused by surgery, injury or so-called heel spur. Due to a 5° wedge sole, normal heel to toe movement of the foot is prevented and the heel is completely relieved.
