Orthotic Joints for the Production of an Orthosis
FIOR & GENTZ develops system joints for the production of custom-made orthoses. We have specialized in the lower extremities. Our orthosis joints are known as system joints because they are developed following a systematic approach. They can be used for the production of orthoses for patients with paralyses as well as for the production of supportive orthoses.
Which system joint and which function is required in each case can be determined in the configuration. The Orthosis Configurator from FIOR & GENTZ is a smart tool that determines the best possible combination of functional elements for the orthosis depending on the functional deviation resulting from the indication or the patient's clinical picture. It is free of charge and can be used without login.
The FIOR & GENTZ system allows for a highly individual configuration, as the functional elements can be both combined and interchanged. The system components – from the system joints, system anchors and system side bars to various other functional elements – are available in different system widths to meet the individual load situation resulting from the orthotic treatment. At FIOR & GENTZ, the system widths refer to the size of the system components.
The system ankle joints feature different construction properties. This enables a highly accurate adjustment for different indications.

The NEURO SWING FIT AFO Test Orthosis is a preproduced orthosis made of carbon fibre material. It must only be used as a test orthosis for a later treatment with a custom-made AFO with a NEURO SWING system ankle joint.
The FIOR & GENTZ articulated side bars for knee orthoses feature orthotic joints specifically developed for the production of custom-made knee orthoses.
