AFO with a NEURO SWING Carbon System Ankle Joint
This video by Born Prothesenhandwerk from Mülheim-Kärlich shows a patient who had to undergo a Chopart partial foot amputation after an accident at work. Since he often rides his bike, the initial treatment with a rigid partial foot prosthesis made of silicone did not offer him enough safety. He tried to make up for the lack of stability with compensation mechanisms that caused pain in the knee and hip area. For this reason, he needed a new treatment. Hence, a partially flexible partial foot prosthesis made of silicone with a FIOR & GENTZ NEURO SWING Carbon system ankle joint in 20mm was produced.
The video shows the patient with his new treatment that helps him achieve a more physiological gait. Now, he can once again pursue his hobbies with sufficient safety.
