KAFO with NEURO VARIO System Knee Joint and NEURO SWING System Ankle Joint and AFO with NEURO SWING System Ankle Joint
Due to multiple sclerosis, the patient has been suffering from severe spastic paresis in her legs for over ten years. Her condition has deteriorated significantly in recent years. The lack of leg control without medical devices is clearly visible in the before video. According to the patient, it takes her 30 minutes every morning to put on her orthoses. Walking without orthoses is entirely out of the question.
In 2020, the medical supply store Koletzki in Berlin produced two new orthoses with FIOR & GENTZ system joints for her. She wears a KAFO with a NEURO VARIO system knee joint and a NEURO SWING system ankle joint on her left leg. She also wears an AFO with a NEURO SWING system ankle joint on her right leg. The video shows that the new orthoses provide her with more safety when walking. Her stance and gait have improved considerably. The patient is mobile again and can travel with her family without having to worry about her safety.
