Protocol for Checking the Orthosis Function
Our Protocol for Checking the Orthosis Function helps you to check the function of the final orthosis when handing it over to the patient and to precisely achieve and document a pre-defined, customised treatment goal.
With our concept of 360° orthotics, we created a process that enables you to efficiently, effectively and successfully achieve an all-encompassing orthotic treatment! After the collection of patient data, this includes a complex production process that should be evaluated, analysed and rethought in the end, to learn from the experience of each treatment. When Handing Over the Orthosis as the final work step, it is evaluated to what extent the desired treatment goal has been reached.
For this purpose, the orthosis should be checked statically on the workbench, statically on the patient and dynamically on the patient and the results documented.
This is where the Protocol for Checking the Orthosis Function comes into play. It serves as a guideline to verify, together with the patients, if the orthosis' alignment, function and comfort are satisfactory and as a tool for self-monitoring to detect any defects, such as incorrectly set pivot points, at an early stage. It also serves result documentation purposes. This allows for changes to be tracked at any later point in time and new treatments to be compared with previous ones.
You can find corresponding online tutorials to the different sections of the protocol on our website to support you when handing over the orthosis.
Due to planning, documenting and rethinking, achieving the treatment goal is predictable, repeatable and calculable.
