KAFO with a NEURO MATIC System Knee Joint and a NEURO SWING System Ankle Joint
This patient has been suffering from incomplete paraplegia after a disc surgery. The surgery dates back several years. For a long time, she managed her everyday life sitting in a wheelchair. She had deliberately decided against an orthotic treatment in the hope of restoring her muscle function through resting.
The medical supply store Müllenheim in Braunschweig has now produced a KAFO for her to help her rebuild her muscles. The orthosis is equipped with a FIOR & GENTZ NEURO MATIC system knee joint and a NEURO SWING system ankle joint.
The video shows the patient with her new orthosis. She is still getting used to the new treatment, but is already benefiting from the increased safety in her everyday life.
