MODULE 3A: Model Technique – Making the Positive Cast

Module Content:
- explanation of the mechanical pivot points at ankle and knee height based on online tutorials
- online support in making a negative cast
- online support in making a positive cast

Module Result: 
- anatomical positive cast

Requirement:
- configuration result with correctly collected data

Materials Needed:
- standard tools and consumables for a plaster cast (plaster bandages etc.)
- ideally an e-Cast (digital angle control system), article number: WE3400
- self-adhesive washers for marking the mechanical pivot points, article number: KL4601
- compression foil for the compression and insulation of the leg, article number: KL9010
- cross line laser to determine the orthosis’ alignment
- plank of known height
- standard tools and consumables for the plaster model technique (Surform rasp etc.)
- ideally, all tools listed in the configuration result that are necessary for the work steps in this module

If you are using materials that differ from the configuration result, we cannot guarantee a successful completion of the workshop module.
